when i open dvd decrypter with my blank media, tdk (works the best for me), it says that the supported write speeds are 4x and 8x. will it work if i do 1x, because you guys say write at the slowest possible for best quality. thx

That slowest speed msytic is not exactly true anymore. Todays writers and disks have much better strategies for faster speeds, usually 4x/8x is the best. Of course it deppends on your writer/its firmware.
