Verbatim DataLife DVD-Rs

I just bought a 25 pack of Verbatim DVD-Rs... They just say "Verbatim DataLife" no plus...

The top of the discs are silver with blue writting.

I bought them at Sam's Club and I was just wondering if these were good quality media... I haven't opened them yet so I want to know.

I know how some Verbatims can be cheap now a days... So please someone with experience tell me if these are a keeper or not.

They don't have the shaded fade of blue on the side of the disc like the one kind of verbatim dvd-rs... Just light silver and Verbatim in blue at the top and on the right and left the capacity, etc. Then the lines to write info on.

well i have the datalifeplus CD's and when i had a modded ps2 like a week ago..it wouldnt even read them

Verbatim has a satisfaction guarantee. You can visit the website for details. Supposedly, they will replace any faulty media. You're just gonna' have to try them out. We've all had to do this. Welcome to the world of writable optical media--it's always a crap-shoot the first time you try a new line of media.

Scan them first with CDSpeed2000 or ADVDInfo to find out what speed is best for burning them (check the sticky's up top this forum list for the details and how-to's).

Yes I know all along they were kinda shitty...

But they turn out to be RITEKG03's... I took em back and bought my TDK's like normal,

my friend kept his and they were RITEKG03's too *bought them at the same store*... I burned 4 dvd-rs for him and they work perfect... So I guess they are ok.

Although I can see glue in the inner circle on some of them and crap. Poorly made.
