v7 PS2 and DVD +/- R

I'm fairly new to modding so please don't flame me for asking this (I've searched the forum & can't find the answer)...

With a newly modded v7 PS2 (Messiah 2), do I have to have the laser adjusted to read DVDRs (+/- whatever), or should it play them without adjustments?

yepp im pretty sure, it will play dvd-r i donno bout dvd+r

i've heard v7's read DVD+R even better than DVD-R, unlike the v4's and under which have much weaker lasers and can barely even read them. I think I'm going to sell my v4 GT3 pack on ebay in favor of a new v7 so my laser won't wear out so quickly.

Thanks! Whew. I'd already ordered a bunch of DVDRs then started reading posts about laser adjustments & such and got worried.

never tried a +r in my v7 pal... anyone willing to send me one to test

honestly though, my v7 reads everything i throw at it(touch wood).. i reckon all would be the same.
