Which do v1's like better? I have both DVD+R and DVD-R Taiyo Yuden's. Or does changing the booktype mitigate any compatibility issues? Due to my lack of spending cash at the moment I rather not coaster any through trial and error.
Thanks

I doubt booktyped DVD+R to DVD-ROM will be a problem if DVD-R better for this model.
I have SCPH-50004a and before I change my laser the better one was DVD-R but now those DVD-R are working literally whatever they want and DVD-ROM(DVD+R) are booting every time on the first try.
I use Verbatim DVD+R
So you're saying an old laser can read DVD-R's better?
Verbatim DVD+R's are great as long as they're manufactured in Singapore or Taiwan. Just out of personal curiosity, do you happen to know the media code , origin and speed?
No,I'm saying that my old laser was reading DVD-R without problems and it has problems with DVD+R(don't know about bootyped DVD+R since I didn't have any problems with DVD-R and because of that I don't buy much of DVD+R)but with the new laser(which is the same laser)now is the other way around.Originally Posted by nyquil
I don't know from where they are but the media code is MCC-004-00 which is Verbatim.I booktype them and burm then at 4x.Originally Posted by nyquil
