    Hi all,

scrapy recently installed FMCB, ESR and uLaunchELF on my official 8MB memory card, and with excellent results... FMCB is functioning perfectly.

Now, on to my question... I haven't really got any idea how to create ESR backups and I couldn't seem to find a sticky/tutorial thread on how to do so (please don't yell at me if there is already -_-)

So, in short... I have ESR and FMCB installed and ready, I have my legit PS2 DVD's and my blank writable DVD's, as well as a DVD burner and Nero etc etc.

So... how do I go about making a working ESR backup? Cheers!

Thanks heaps mate, I followed those steps but I used DVD Decrypter instead of IMGBurn and just successfully made a working ESR backup on my first try!
Used SONY DVD+R/RW 16X disc, burnt at 8X. Works perfectly!

Just an advice...don't use RW disks because they literally shortens the laser life a lot and burn at max 4x

heard lots of differing opinions re: burn speed, a lot of people say burning _too_ slow is just as bad as burning too fast - they say generally burn at half the max, which is what i did.

also the discs say DVD+R on them everywhere and DVD Decrypter only recognizes them as +R not RW, but there is a small "RW" logo on them - i just assumed this meant they were RW, maybw not. It's a RW logo then it says "DVD+R" underneath it.

For some reason the DVD+R logo says RW, even if it's DVD+R. It's what stands underneath the logo that counts.
PAL V14 SCPH 75004PSTwo, fully working, XenoPS
PAL "magical" V4 SCPH 35004 PS2, 160GB, dead DVD laser, exploited
8MB official sony MC (Slot 1)
64MB chinese clone MC, Free MC Boot 1.8, Independence Exploit (backup mod) (Slot 2)
