Trying to switch language files in Dynasty Warriors 5 JP/NA

Hi all. I'm trying to replace the English DW5 voice and soundeffect files with the Japanese ones.

I've done a simple copy and replace to my computer. I've tried to burn it with Nero as a UDF dvd, but it won't load. The HD boots up and then it returns to the PS2 browser. Are the files not imcompatible or am I missing a step in burning the DVD?

Not sure. It could be possible that inside of the game's actual files, there is data which references EXACT locations inside of the audio files as to where to load the voices. Obviously, these locations are different, and perhaps the game realizes this and crashes out.

I know on KOF 2003 and Phantom Brave, there are some index files on the disc which reference their files at exact LBA locations on the disc, so inserting dummy files or modifying anything will cause the game to boot to black screen.

Then again, you coulud always try rebuilding your ISO with CD/DVDGEN and burning it with DVD Decrypter instead of Nero.

Substituted the voice files and effects ONLY and it works PERFECTLY.
