    Don't see why they wouldn't be.

    The only onces you should really worry about the crappy ones you get for like 5 dollars. Stay away from the generic ones that have both the same side the same (as in the ones with the top that look exactly like the buttom), usualy those ones don't work.

    If the DVD-Rs are too thin, those are meant for burning and then printing on top, without the printed layer, the disc is too thin. That's why they look the same on both sites. And breaks just by looking at them.

    Ritek/Ridata are extremely good for their price, it's all I use, and I've never had a problem and I've been through about 200 discs or so.
    They're completely safe.

    you dont need to burn at 1x. burn at the fastest speed that you can. people have actually gotten better resutlts that way.

    That's a load of shit - burn at the fastest speed you can and that the media is rated at. The 1x=better burn myth is just that, a myth. Perhaps right when media was coming out and burners weren't all that good, perhaps that was true, but no longer.
    Burn as fast as you can - you'll actually get better results.
