    well if it's really a backup then you should *know* if it's PAL or NTSC because you own the original game, right?

    the best one available is called NOTEPAD.EXE, but it's scarce, and really hard to find, unless you have windows. I copied the NOTEPAD.EXE from C:\Windows\System32\, and replaced it to that hidded folder in Documents and Settings, "Send To", so I can right click on anything and send it to notepad, or open notepad, make files "all files" and open with notepad the file on the disc SYSTEM.CNF, the last line indicates color system standard video mode, or "vmode" NOTE this excript, where I named the ELF to be exocuted "CONDEMNED.ELF"
    BOOT2 = cdrom0:\CONDEMNED.ELF;1
    VER = 1.00
    VMODE = NTSC
    see that last line??? if it said "VMODE = PAL", then it would be a PAL game.

    lol, well u see this backup just magically appeared on my computer and then the backup started talking and said i had to burn it and play it on the ps2 to save its life and ive never turned back on a talking backup.

    Well thanks for the help Rotosound_rb666, it helped and i found out it was NTSC but i used a simpler method. I just used ISObuster and extracted the SYTEM.cnf to desktop and used notepad to open it.

    if you didnt' make it yourself, it's NOT A BACKUP. it's warez. That was my point, which I was trying to be subtle about without "playing mod".
