But are these Blanks good.trying to get good quality Blanks
Taiyo Yuden are the best media you can get
They are good lifewise, but they are the green Cyanine Dye disks which do the most damage to your laser. The best your going to get is Verbatims since they are both as durable if not better and have a better reflection layer with thier Blue Azo Dye. Thats if your talking about CD-Rs though.
As for DVD -/+ R yes Taiyo Yudens are the best consumer-wise.

Any good Place to get them for cheap?
It's clear you have never used Taiyo Yuden CD-R, as Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs all use a light blue dye. The only way you would get a green backed dye on a Taiyo Yuden disc, is if it was a fake (ie infosmart, who is famous for stealing TY media ID codes). As for the USA, I would go with www.rima.com long before meritline. Take a look at the consumer ratings of each store on resellerratings and you will know why. Here is rima's review: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2551.html and here is meritline's review: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1331.html *EDIT* Anyways, any authentic TY disc of any format is a pretty safe bet as long as you take care of them. So just choose which top best suits your purposes.
