I have what I think is a relatively unique problem. I am a Resident Evil Fanatic (That is a problem in it of itself, but not the one I am here for). I own a v9 USA PS2 which is currently being modified by a professional with a DMS4 pro chip so that I can play the copy of Resident Evil Gun Survivor 2 that I imported. However, I am concerned about the PAL/NTSC situation as it is a UK disc. I have some questions about media/video formats and the DMS4 chip

-Does anyone know if the DMS4 Pro allows PAL games to display properly on a NTSC Television? I tried using my Swap Magic Discs to get the game to work, and it came in black and white and the vertical was all messed up.

-There is an NTSC jap version of the game as well, is there any difference between US NTSC and Jap NTSC? or would that game have display problems as well.

-If the Jap Game worked, I'd still have the problem of Japanese audio. Theoretically speaking, would there be a way for me to create a "Hybrid" disk by merging the UK Audio with the Jap NTSC Video? Or is my understanding of how PS2 DVD Disks are designed way off base?

Thanks in advance for any input,
    TimeDivided

You can try to use a Pal > Ntsc patch with y-fix. you can get that Here, which is on my website, if the link is removed pm me i guess. You might need to right click and save as.
    1. Make an iso with dvd decrypter -search google if you need it
    2. Open up the ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix.exe browse to where the iso is and select it.
    3. Leave the Y-Fix offset to 48 - unless you know what your doing.
    4. Check the make pn selector and hit patch file. it will say somthin about backing up the sles file i believe (correct me if its scus, sles, slus ect) then just burn it to a dvd of your choice using any software you want, i suggest dvd decrypter. a picture is included below
    Picture 1
-There is an additional readme in the zip file.
    - I hope this helps you out

The y-fix should fix the screen in the wrong area of the screen. and it will now be in color. just remember to hit , "Cross (ntsc with yfix) basically centered the best it can be, or circle i believe (might be wrong) just in ntsc with color in wrong area of screen. you do have choices before you start the game to select it Ntsc y fix, plain ntsc, or pal
