SwapMagic DVD is 4.35GB--most normal DVD's will boot with it fine. May have a little trouble with final video sequences on games that fill it to the 4.38 barrier (DevilMayCry series, etc.), but gameplay should be fine in most cases.

A GS2/AR2 and a double-swap will be needed to properly boot anything between the 4.35 and 4.38 barrier. There aren't too many games that fall in this category though, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for most people.

The CD is basically a stripped Singapore AR2. It registers in Winblows around 27MB, but it reserves an LBA equivalent to my GS2 (323849) which translates to 632.5 MB of normal storage, or about 720 MB in the Mode2 format the PS2 uses. It should boot just about anything you feed it as well.

If you haven't bought this set yet, you may want to consider getting a soldered mod instead. The prices on the chips have dropped remarkably this year, and they will direct boot pretty much anything you throw in there. The cost to have someone install a cheap chip isn't far off from the cost of a do-it-yourselfer no solder mod and some sort of boot disc set.

Remember, you will need 3 boot discs--one for each type of game: PSX CD, PS2 CD, PS2 DVD--the swapmagic only boots PS2 games, so you will also need a GS2/AR2 type set for PSX backups as well. Unless you are getting them dirt cheap at an auction or something, you can spend over $75 on the discs and the no-solder mod (with shipping). Alot of aggravation to save a little bit of cash.
