Ssx 3
Hi guys. This is my first post and i'm not to experienced so pleasebear with me.
I used DVD Decrypter and made an image of SSX 3 on my computer. I then came up with a problem. There were like three files in the folder I made it in. There was one big ISO file, one .mds file that came up to be the same size when I loaded it, and one other file that was like 45kb and I don't think this file loaded anways. So I figure i'd burn the big .mds file cause it was the same size anyways. I burned it, no problems. Then I stuck it into my ps2 (V7 Magic 3.1) and got nothing. It just starts and
makes screechy noises and goes straight to the browser. Am I stuck with a wasted disc (I think you guys call them coasters, I understand why) or can I fix my problem? Thanks!
PS I've heard ppl telling me i need a patch for EA games. Do I need one for this? And how would I apply it and stuff?
-
No you don't need to patch it. The EA patch is only is you have a really old piece of shit mod. Look here for a dvd decrypter tutorial.

I did that exactly and I came up with this disc that didnt work. Did it just not burn properly?
-
Is your media decent? Have you ever backed up a game before that works?
-
Yes ive backed up Midnight club II. I'm using Maxell DVD-R

I would try cleaning the original and try a different prog or media if possible. I use RecordNow Max with 100% success. You can download a 30 day demo here

whats the best way to clean a disc?

Rub some liquid soap on it(from center to edge, not in circular motion) Run under warm water rubbing finger from center towards the edge all the way around till soap is gone. Dry with soft cloth(t-shirt is fine) with same motion.

Ok done. SO what if i make aother copy and its still ****ed up and makes the stupid screechy noises. Am i screwed?

I would try a different brand media if that were to happen.
