add this to your list of games that wont 'work', -not boot, with Swap Magic
each time you save in Splinter Cell it checks for the presence of a modchip...
If you have one; then its RSOD.
that is pretty crazy, has anyone ran into this problem? are there any other games that check for modchips during saving?
Wow never heard of that pretty crazy. Have not tryed it yet but wow i hope this does not happen with more games. Does this happen with a magic 3 or other major modchips.
I used it in my Magic 2, V7 and it played fine using the DVD/PSX boot method (holding reset).
yeh if they could check for a modchip, every game would get it...i mean cmon !
I've heard of this problem in ONLY v7's. And it doesn't matter if it's a chip or swap magic. I've heard of it with v7's with the DMS3, magic 3.1 AND the M2.
It works fine with my v5 and magic 3.1, is it possible there's something else in the V7's that would make it do this?
that is hard to chew but could be i have no clue should have it pretty directly and have a ver 7 so we will find out will do test on a real copy and a backup with different methods and chips.
