Soul Calibur 2 Japanese CD-Rip : Need Help..

Hi There ! I think that's my first post on ps2newz..

I've got an european ps2 an i use Ar2 + Cog-Swap Method.

Well, i've downloaded SoulCal2 somewhere, i've unzipped it, then burned it and...

...nothing has happened ! lol, so i've extracted all the iso files and put SYSTEM.CNF at LBA 12 231 and the SLPS files at LBA 12 232..
..There the CD was booting ! I was happy.. but 5 seconds later i was back to the NAVIGATOR MENU on ps2 ( dunno why ) and then the Wrong Disc screen appears.. i don't understand because my others burned games works.. and a prog named EG Browser ( only japanese ) works too...

So here are my questions, this game doesn't work because :

1) It's a japanese game
2) There's a protection
3) Other

and i would like to know what must i do to get this game working...

If you have some idea's..

I have got that same game....the dvdrip version...

I unzipped it, burned it, put it in my ps2, and it worked!

I have a magic 2.0 by the way. I didn't change any of the files inside the ISO

I've founded the problem... if like me you haven't any modchip must use "nomodkits" to make a game working.. I used the dvdrick one of 14Megs and it works This a a greeeeat game !! But in japanese lool, in Adventure "Weapon Master" mode it's very hard to know what the master want of you.. Erm well hehe

hold reset and turn it off, try it back on, then it should boot. or maybe its the media you use. what are you using?

some times i have to burn the games to another type to get it to work.

Hey Electrique, where did you get the "nomod" kit for Soul Cal2? I've been having the same problem, but I use GS2 not AR2.

EG Browser is for browsing the internet right? Do you need the japanese HDD (hard drive) to run EG browser? Just out of curiousity where can you get HDDs and approximately how much are they? I'm in the UK and have a PAL PS2. I'm thinking of installing a DMS3 mod chip.
