Buying a DVD burner. Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony DRV-500A. Anyone know if there are any better or faster ones out there?

I think the biggest problem right now is there's no 4x media out there. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong. I also believe that pioneer is coming out with a new 4x burner soon. my roommate has the sony drive and i love it. i've made several backups with no problems what so ever. even used cheap generic media.
Yup go with the Sony, getting one myself soon. It's nice that it supports DVD-R and DVD+R, so if one of these become standards soon you won't get screwed because you support both :).
