    Coming Soon

I have placed my order for the Sony CD +- R/RW & DVD +- R/RW Burner and will be testing various media from DRDVDRMEDIA.COM

This test will also include DVD+R media.

This testing will strictly be with PS2 media.

  4. #4 $ONY SUCKS ASS AND DICK Sony DRU500A
    Kemikals 2003 Guest
So I got the Sony DRU500A today - the one that can burn DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW

Well the burner came with the pussy version of RecordNow. So I installed RecordNow Max 4.1 - turns out that SHIT cant even pick up the damn burner.

Pussy Primo will not pick up the burner either.

So basically - I'm a return this piece of shit. Sorry - NO DVDR media testing for this burner - YET.

    Hey K,

If you haven't packed that thing off yet, I just thopught I'd make you aware that there's a 358 version of the Px Engine update available. You could give it a try and see if it makes any difference as far as drive support. Might be worth a shot, eh?

    ftp://eval.veritas.com/downloads/pro...xEngine358.exe

btw, I have a spindle of ML 2x white tops coming. I damn hope they work as well as you say...

Well I installde the Px Engine and the burner still wont show up. But my USB I/O Magic DVD+RW burner did.

But yeah - I dont think there is any support yet for these multiformat DVD Burners. Oddly enough on the box it states that it can do DVD-R at 4x. I thought DVD-R was limited to 2x. Could have sworn that I read that shit somewhere in this forum.

Oh well - I guess Ill just rape the software that came with this piece of shit.

the pxengine was updated so i guess it should be supported with primodvd
nero finds the burner and can burn to it
as for the 4x dvd-r the media will be available near the end of the year or its already out in asia
if u want to burn .gi files u would have to load them up in daemon tools then use nero to copy the loaded iso that daemon loaded and burn thats how someone in another forum did it. said it worked fine.

    My computer recognizes it.

I got the Sony DDU1621 which is the DVD ROM Drive and I got the Sony DRU500A - both are picked up by my OS but the burner is not getting picked up by the PX engine.

Give me the link to the update.

I got the Px Engine update that Balto sent me and that didnt work.
