Hi
if someone give me advise i wiil be appreciate..
i have a pal ps2 with duo 2 modchip and it work fine with games yet..but i buy several games ntsc & pal (dvd fresh ps2 games) yesterday and some of them not load or they stuck in the load screen on the begining or just give a black screen but not load..just 4 from 9 game works..the games new and with good quality dvd and burning.some of games ntsc works and some of pal works so i think that it not imports prob but maybe some import have prob with that chip?? i mean he cant load some of pal/ntsc games ? or maybe other prob? and if i can do something to solve that.

I suspect some laser/media issue here. I'd test those disks, and/or reburn one.

PAL/NTSC cannot be the problem, as far as I know all chips can boot import games. I suppose your laser is too weak to read the media correctly, and/or your backup disks contain a way too many PI/PO errors that causes problems when reading. There are several tools to check those dvd disks on a PC, we could learn much after the tests. There are too many unknown factors (like media, write speed, PI/PO numbers, laser condition, and so on...) to say something for sure.
regards, Stephen
