i got a backup of a game, the disc is kinda scratched up.
should i just keep using that (until i can make another proper backup) or would it be better if i play with new backup of that disc.

The 2048 byte/sector structure garantees that all backup is the same as the original. though if you use raw mode there will be differences. So you can make a backup of a backup, IF it did not contain some special extra data in the raw data (usually copy protection).

why make a backup of a backup if you have the original...assuming you do...which youre suppose to have.
I had to make a backup of a backup. Problem was when I tryed playing Diehard Vendetta on my ps2 with Princo DVD-R media it would'nt work right. Disc did'nt seem to too badly scratched up. Did'nt play it much cause it would'nt work right. Then I bought some DVD+R media K Hypermedia and did'nt have any trouble getting the game to load at all. Some media just won't work good on ps2's. On mine the DVD+R works better than the DVD-R.It's all trial and error though.
Strange as it is.

I didnt realise this was a grammar sensitive forum ???
Good to see some people still remember how to correctly punctuate - LOL who cares?
Small things amuse small minds i suppose.
geez.. just stop using princo goddammit!! theyre just garbage.. try a real dvd-r brand and you will find out that they work just fine.. trying princo and then claiming that all dvd+rs works better..Originally Posted by Dew-It
