Set Burning SPeed... HELP

Hey.. i got HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE 8240B burner.. (it came withit when i bough compaq). i think its an GL burner.

anyway, when i try to burn something, the minimum burning speed always set at 8x.. does any one know how to set it to 2x or 4x.. cause my PS1 and PS2 can only read cd at 1x, 2x and 4x.

notes: i have used almost all the program, and tested many cd brand... ps2 can only read cheap cd brand at either 2x or 4x, but not above...

so if there is a way to set your cd burner speed, please help thankz

Sorry to inform you, but many new cd-rws slowest burn speed is 8x. Your ps2 should be able to read something burned at 8x. Try different media such as Verbatim.
