Well, Scooter -
The game does not freeze on the TOOL stages at all, AND I get the trippy TOOL background
I installed the downsampled DVD5 through HDL_Dumb over the network connection.
There are NO patches on the HDLoader version, since I did not think they were needed.
The only stages that show up are the Hong Kong stage, the Flying Griffons stage, and the TOOL stage only shows up for TOOL.
I have run the DVD9 version before on my HD, but only the first layer works. I have since deleted that image and have only been running the DVD5 downsample I made with the ripkit.
Sorry, scooter, I just came back and re-read the question, and I think I know what you were asking. The DVD9 version I tried was patched only with the Toxic DVD9 patcher. I do NOT have a DL burner, so I did not attempt to patch with ESR before the ripkit. Even with the Toxic patch, it still would not read the second layer on my HD.
The DVD5 works great, but I do not use it, as it is hard on the DVD laser. The HD version loads waaaaaay faster.
Trav:
Gotcha..
I also had a proublem with the DVD9 on HDLoader..
However I reformated everything on my HDD on my PS2 throu WinHIIP (after backing up all my games first)..
Then reinstalled the games after the format..
After doing this the DVD9 has worked just fine for my PS2 as well as my kids PS2 running HDLoader..
DVD5 version works just fine as well.. However you are correct as there are only 3 stages.. This is had to be done with the kit to make the ISO the correct size for a DVD5-R disk..
Still stumped on why you have had proublems with the floating people on stage thou.. Thats one that I have yet to see..
Also take not that when using the HDLoader you will not need Toxic Patcher..
Patcher is only used on DL disks that are burned with a blank DVD9 disk..
Hope this helps some way..

asduque:
1.Extract from an ISO image all the files from both layers with Apache 2 into the same folder as the ripkit (you can delete the ISO after this)
2.Run ghwtrip.bat
4.At the end IML2ISO will pop up, select ghwt.iml and click start.
5.Burn the ISO at 4X with DVD Decrypter.
This is all stated with in the README with in the ripkit.. Please read it for further info..

MrFaust:
I have yet to see or hear about any tools to do that for you..

Ya Im Bi-Poler and proud of it
I´ll have an V9 chipped with Crystal-Chip 2.0Pro.Is there any problem if I only take the DVD9 version and toxic-patch the .iso? And burn it to an DVD+DL
(Verbatim) and play the game like I did with Yakuza2.God Of War2,GT4
cuse they work flawlessy.
Ya Im Bi-Poler and proud of it
I´ll played the game last night for about 4 hours no problem.
DVD9 version toxic-patch the Iso.Then burned it on a DVD+DL
Verbatim Fullface Printable at 2.4x
The Ps2 is an V9 with CC 2.0Pro FW 34 no BM(if you have the BM installed you must switch off the auto DL patcher in the menu)
Also tested it on a v15 with Duo3Ultra works great.
I just want to confirm the "floating people" on my dvd5. No big deal tho.
Also on the front page it says something about "readjust your PODS". How do you do this?
How fast for loading times? Mine takes about 1 minute to get past the loading screen. On a DVD9 a song loads in about 3 minutes. On the DVD5 rip, 5 minutes or more. I always have to hope it's not frozen or killing my laser and/or motor. That is honestly what it sounds like.
Running in a PS2 V15 with Crystal Chip 2.0 fw34 with BM installed.
I just tried burning this game after patching it with the toxic dual layer image patcher, and my PS2 is giving me the disc read error when I put it in. I'm using Verbatim DL DVD+R's.
I used IMGBurn and it automatically set the booktype to DVD-ROM, but my PS2 just cannot read the game. I have a v7 with a Duo 3 Ultra installed.
I guess I'll waste my last DL DVD+R and burn it at 1x, but it should have worked since my PS2 has no problem reading retail DVD9's.
