PLEASE DO NOT POST OR COMMENT ON HOW TO GET A COPY

This forum is intended for users that want or need help to get this game to play or even to help one another out on how to use the DVD5/DVD9 version..

!!Any Info. that you can contribute would be helpful!!

    !!PLEASE RESPECT THE SITES RULES!!

    AS OF 5-13-09:

    Confirmed Working Mic's:
MadCatz Multi-console Headset (Posted with in comment #159)

    Confirmed Non-Working Mic's:
    Any Sing Star Mic

    \................................................./

I can CONFIRM that the button press does work on Guitar Hero World Tour..
    Heres how to do it..

    1) Hold <~ (Left D-Pad Key) on start up of Guitar Hero World Tour
    2) I kept the button pressed throu out the menu till I picked a song
    3) You will need to press the L2 button to advance throu the menu
**what this does is fool GHWT disk that the control is a guitar/bass interment**

    Button layout for Controller:
(NOTE: you will play as ither the Guitar or Bass)

    L2) Green (advance menu screen)
    Circle button) Red
    Triangle button) Yellow
    X button) Blue
    Square button) Orange

Analog (Both sticks work for this) for strumming

Hope this helps out some users out there about not being able to play with just the controller and needing a mic..

Remember with this you DO NOT NEED A MIC to play..

    'DVD9' Version

    Works 'DVD9' Version:
    HDLoader v.8c (modes 1+3 suggested)
HD(USB)Advance (ELF has been said to not work for some)
Swap Magic v3.8 (only seems to work for me so far )
Crystal Chip 2.0 Firmware 34 (Toxic Patcher Needed)
NOTE: For Crystal Chip users-if you have the BM installed you must switch off the auto DL patcher in the menu
Matrix modchip 1.93 Firmware-DL support enabled (Toxic Patcher NOT needed)
    Duo3Ultra (Toxic Patcher Needed)
    ESR.9a (Toxic Patcher NOT needed)
(Also check out post 131 as some users could not get this to work with settings above for ESR)

(With any modchips with menus within-Make sure you enable Dual Layer support)

Does NOT Work With 'DVD9' Version:
Official Swap Magic v3.6 (Booting v3.8.ELF will not work ither from this)
Official Swap Magic v3.8 (However it does work for me )
    CogsSwap

    Still Needs To Be Tested:
    ZoneLoader

Programs Used To Burn 'DVD9' Version Confirmed Working:
Nero (Best software with the least issues of playability)
    Alcohol 120
    IMG Burn
Apache 2.0 (Best software so far to read 2nd layer)
DVD Decrypter (Knowing issues not reading 2nd layer on some burners)

Only Confirmed Media Working So Far:
    'DVD9' Version:
    Verbatim +R Dual layer media

    Burn speeds x4 or lower

    \................................................./

    'DVD5' Version

    Works 'DVD5' Version:
    All ModChips
    HDLoader v.8c (Modes 1+3 suggested)
HD(USB)Advance (No freezing issues like DVD9 had)
Official Swap Magic v3.3+ (Swap Magic.ELF's work also)
ESR (Suggest GUI version-No modes needed)

Only Confirmed Media Working So Far:
    'DVD5' Version:
    Any DVD-R media
    **Verbatim DVD-R suggested though**
Many users having issues with DVD-RW media

Programs Used To Burn 'DVD5' Version Confirmed Working:
    Nero 8+
DVD Decrypter (I highly suggest to use this app.)
    IMG Burn
    Alcohol 120

    Burn speeds x4 or lower

    \................................................./

    HDD USERS:
    DVD5/DVD9 Version
    Use Ither WinHIIP
NOTE: Users that put 'DVD9' Version on your HDD you must first rip the ISO with a diff. app as WinHiiP will not read both layers of a DVD9 game

    Hi,
You said in the ********* comments... "For those users using ESR.. Make sure you use the "off" version or with in the GUI use the "Disable ESR after first IOP reset"

I've been using fmcb and ESR for the past couple months and I don't understand what you mean. How can I disable ESR after first IOP reset?

Also, if I patch the game with ESR, do I have to patch it with toxic patcher as well?

Thanks for the help, and for the game!

Please do not mention where to get it other than a retail store.

    Thank you Boot..

As for ESR there are 4 diff. versions..
    1st is the GUI
2nd is the the regular ESR
    3rd is ESR "off" version
4th is the MC version of ESR..
Further info can be found here:
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/freevast...blic-beta.html

As for the patch.. No with ESR you do not need the Toxic Patcher..
That is only intended for Swap users or "some" modchip users only..

If you could Boot keep me informed throu PM or Email if this gets out of hand.. I do not want to lose my account here on this site if rules are not followed..
Also BOOT if interested about the PTMG for GTASA give me a pm..

I attempted to rebuild it to put it on a single layer disc. I burned it but all it loads and then goes black once the initial load bar is filled. After the rebuild I had the iso down to 4gb. I don't know what is wrong. I looked for dummy files but there doesn't seem to be any. I am assuming it may need a ripkit tool or something. If any one is able to make a working dvd5 please share how. When burning it as a dvd5 I don't need to patch it with toxic right? That is only for a dl copy correct?

    Thanks Scooter
