I am in a bit of a pickle. I am trying to rip my collection of PS2 games to a USB-HD for use with USB-Advance. The hitch: I use Linux and most of the programs I have found to rip games to a usb HD are meant to be run in windows.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look around on Google , and try and find a Virtual program, one that can run a version of windows, within Linux.

    it's worth a shot.

Thank you for the reply (and a quick one at that!)

I have tried various ripping programs in WINE (a windows emulator for linux) with little to no success. Also attempted using VMWare (a hardware emulator) in order to run the programs but get stopped when I found out the programs want direct access to the drives they are ripping to. I have been scouring google for days now trying to figure this out. I may just have to barrow a friends computer for a night.

Try to compile the " iso2usbld" by yourself for use under linux. The source code is here: http://bitbucket.org/ifcaro/open-ps2.../pc/iso2usbld/.

I hope that will help a little.

Thanks for the heads up. I am working on compiling it now, though the tar-ball is a mess. This is going to take me a while.
