Umm...update your ASPI layer maybe? Or use nero, works just aswell. My brother in law has a pioneer 104 and it labelled his as a totally different make, it can be picky. Also make sure you are using the latest version which is 4.5 I think.

If you are using RNM 4.5 and it still doesn't work with the latest px engine, you will need to get Sonic's version of RecordNow Deluxe.

    Pioneer DVR-112D
    LG GCC-4480B 48X24X48X16 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo

It is not a freeware piece of software. You can get it from the Stomp site http://www.stompinc.com

You can d/l the PX Engine update from here

Dude, stop shouting so much! (turn off the caps lock).

Your v4 should've recognized your drive with an updated pxEngine--they released one just a few months back that supported nearly every DVD-R on the market right now. But you got the 4.5, so it isn't entirely reliant on the pxUpdates anymore. I've got the 4.11 DX version and it nabs newer drives without updating the pxengine past the 408 release.

As for the backups, create the image to your drive, then click the button to burn from a Global or Other Image. It will remember a list of the last 15 or so images you have created or used in the drop-down list. If for some reason it's not there, you can use the two add file buttons to look for it. The left one browses your drives manually, the other searches you drives for all available image files. Once you've gotten your image loaded, the rest is self explanatory. If you want to burn from an ISO, you will have to use the browsing button to add the file and change the file type from the .gi Global Images to the other Image IDO UDI, etc so they show up when you search for them.

    Good Luck!

    Raist
If it ain't broke don't try to fix it! But, hell if you can tweak that bastard just a little bit more....hehehe.
