Ratchet And Clank

Hi all,
I have had two copies of ratchet and clank, one done by me, one done by somebody else. we used different source discs, differenet media, and differnt burners. Both copies have the same problem. When I have reached captain quark on planet rilgar (6th stage), as soon as the infobot kicks in, the game freezes with a black screen. Is there a patch or something available for this game as it is pi**ing me off!

why would u need patch it unless ya ps2 system is a pal and the game is US. there is no point of doing that unless its a ripped then i see why. if its a dvdr try getting the image b4 burning it on a slow speed. try cleaning the game b4 getting the image and used a good brand of dvdr.

both were pal dvdrs
1st copy was done by someone on a pioneer 104 with datasafe 1x media and tested on my old v3 with neo4.
then tested on v4 with messiah2

2nd copy was done by me (using a different original) on my toshiba sdr5002 with datasafe 2x media

both copies on both consoles crash at exactly the same point.
is it possible that this game can tell if a modchip is installed?

even if u had a modchip install i dont think it matters. i think its the media u using. try using a good media like verbatim or tdk and see if that works for u
