Quick question about DVD-R read errors

Can someone tell me what exactly is shown on the screen when a dvd-r cannot be read by the ps2 (ie weak laser)

Does the red screen plz insert Ps2 type media appears? or something else entirely... or Ps2 just sits at the main menu?

i believe the red screen appears.

It may bounce you back to the Browser screen or Red Screen out entirely. At times you'll also get boot load problems, and skipping or freezing during game play.
