PS2 Multiloader DVD
PS2 Multiloader DVD –
02-26-2009,01:31 PM
Hello. I have been trying for a couple of days to get this working but, I am having some trouble. So, I thought maybe someone here might be able to help me with this situation. I have been trying to put 5 games on 1 DVD to boot on PS2. I am using Multiloader 1.4, CD/DVD-ROM Generator 2.00, Microsoft Word 2007 for LBA text editing, IsoBuster 2.5, and gdvd iml2iso tool 4.01. I think I have all the tools needed but, now I just need the directions.
Also, when I tried putting these files in the CD/DVD-ROM Generator, I saw that some files had the same names and would give errors when you try to put them in. So, if anyone can give me a complete newbie guide as to what to do and where I'm going wrong, I would really appriciate it.

HI m8, i have been looking in to it myself now.
looks pretty funny to play with.
i dint get anywhere yet,
its 22:00 here, and my gf is here
but basicly, i think u can just let the XML file (MULTI.XML) of the multiloader program point to the elf files of the games u have on the disc...
i.e.
<multiload>
<item>
<name>
GAME1
</name>
<path>
cdrom0:\GAMEFOLDER\SLES_553.46;1
</path>
<description>
game number one
</description>
<image>
cdrom0:\PICTURE.OF.GAME.JPG;1
</image>
this of course is a very simple approach, but its my first thought...

Well, yes I've done that before. It's just that I am getting stuck at other parts. Which is why I was asking for a complete newbie tutorial.
As, I have never done this before.

You can't just point to the files like that and here is the main reason why. When you load duplicate files with the same name onto cdvdgenerator you will get an error msg telling you about duplicate filenames are not allowed. So the solution to this is to rename any dupes with a new name ex. sound.irx becomes soundz.irx and then you open up the exe file and make the change in that file and yes this goes for folder names too. remember to check a game for an lba table in the exe file as many games have them there and many games don't. You will also have to patch the media checks from a cd media disc to a dvd media disc you can use the program CMP1.1 to accomplish this.

I appreciate your help with the same name files but, I'm still having a bit of a hard time understanding this. How exactly do you make these changes in the exe file and what should it say? I'm guessing this has to do with hex editing, which I know nothing about, lol. Well, as for the lba text, do you mean I'd have to make sure the files are in order or something?
