1. DVD-RWs are hard to read for any PS2-Model. It will destroy your laser after a while, or even instantly... (depends on the PS2-Model, burning-quality of a disc and disc-manufacturer...)
2. Use DVD-R and be happy,... Or don't use discs at all and load your games from other devices with 'Open PS2 Loader'.
My v9 hates dvd-r, I have to use dvd+r instead.
Yes, +R's booktyped to -ROM work well on most versions.
I guess booktyping isn't needed for V9-PS2s and up.
It struggles really hard to read them on my v9 but they work perfect on v7 both where burn't with same burner and speed, I guess sony added in extra protection or something to wear out your dvd drive faster using dvd-r.
I think my pioneer automatically bookmarks them as -rom as you or dlanor mentioned before.
Is there any tool I can use to test burn quality after they've been burnt? to see if the dvd-r are in fact lower quality burns. I buy 4 disc cakeboxes for £1 is that too cheap media? 25p a disc. Always wondered is your usename from the wrestling promotion?
It might be true,... These retarded jack-asses @Sony.
Yes, I have a few PIONEERs and they all do bookmark those as -ROM. :)Quote:

There was an older tool from 'Ahead', the creators of 'Nero'.Quote:

Disc-Speed is it's new name thought,...
Maybe DiscInfo or DVDInfoPRO, or another tool to test PI/PO.
Nope, should be o.k., but you might try it with some other brand than Sony, because it seems that those Sony-DVDs are chemically 'after-reacting'.Quote:

Nope. Actually, you are not the first one which assumes that the TNA was the first one, but actually they stole my acronym since I was the first one. :DQuote:

I even was registered in the GIGA-Network (GIGA.de) as Tec'n'Anime in 2001 or so...
TnA is a shorting for 'Technology & Animation (hinting to Animes, but I love a lot of movies...)'.
Technology
n (for 'and')
Animation
Yeah that's what i'm leaning towards.
Thanks for confiming.
I tried to use some tool before in 2009 but it was only for testing it during the burning phase, it then spat out a report after you'd finishing burning the disc, you couldn't test a disc you already took out the cdvd drive :(
Possibly too expensive then :lol:us in the UK often get shafted with TAX.
I haven't touched Sony media since 1998 for the exact same reason, Tesco also sell their discs rebranded.
ok, you still like wrestling though rite?:p anyway psx-scene is nowhere the oldest how about paradogs.net back in the day ;) geohot hasn't learned a damn thing from Maximilien it seems
