does anyone know if their is a site that list protected ps2 games i am copying to dvd-r
Doing 1:1 backups of DVD originals to DVD-R, I haven't run into a single title that possesses and sort of "protection" (including EA games) and have no idea why people think such a thing presently exists.
It seems the only time that may even be a factor is when a title is reduced from DVD to CD-R...
I have 35 successfull 1:1 dvd BACKUPS and have had no problem i guess it will be a matter of time before they do protect them though. But with all these experts out there in the PS2 scene there will never be a way to protect them.
Stop Ripping u Guyz DVD-R is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i've heard on different forums about some games having some sort of protection that causes them to fadeout in different parts of the game
dvd-r maybe the way to go if you have the money to do so. But like me fresh out of college you really can't aford it so ripping is what I do!!

Sniper that is called F.A.D.E. and yes some games do have that and Iam sure more will catch on soon

Has anyone had a problem copying NBA Live 2003? My copy freezes at the screen shot of Jason Kidd.
Sounds like you tried to save a few bucks with some cheap no-name media, as that's exactly the sort of thing that occurs 99% of the time with those bargin brands. (I know -- I went thru $30 worth one time before I wised up and spent a little more for known quality. Even $5 vs $50 to replace the original is a bargin in my book.)Originally posted by ivandiz

Pick up a TDK, Verbatim, Pioneer, or Apple and do another burn at 2x, not 1x. Odds are you'll be making those jump shots from outside the 3-point line in no time flat...
I'm using Memorex DVD-R media. I downloaded the PX engine for Primo DVD & used Charlie's tutorial & the program said that it was a successful burn. But when I put the DVD in my PS2, it just sits at the screenshot of Jason Kidd. I'm having the exact same problem with Ty the Tasmanian Devil. Now I've noticed that both of these games are EA games so it makes me wanna ask....are there any protection issues with EA DVDs? Any info would help. Thanks.
I have a dvr-104 w\primo and use Charlie's tutorials and burn on verbatim dvd-r or cd-r and everything boots even EA games.
