Use DVDecrypter. RITEK G05 DVD-R discs, and burn at 1/2 the max speed, so for RITEK G05 DVD-R that would be 4x as the max speed is 8x

what's with the burn at the lowest speed you can ?? 4x is the best from what most people say. i use Verbatim 16x and TDK 16x and i burn both of them at 8x works perfect with no problems. you should always burn half the maxium speed.

Some guy told me that if you burn it at the wrong speed , the copy will still work but it may shorten the life span of your console. Is that true?

I wouldn't say the copy will definately still work. It'll be more hit & miss though, as the laser will have a harder time reading the data. And as such, will make the laser work harder & burn out quicker.

Optimal burn speed & good quality media are paramount when making PS2 backups.
