PS2 Backup Question

Hey, I'm a bit confused so here is my question or w/e:

I'm planning on purchasing a couple PS2 PAL games and 'am going to back them up to preserve the retail discs. Will the "PAL to NTSC -Y" fix work (once ripped to PC and reburned) to have it play on my American NTSC PS2? (What PS2 I have is in my sig.) Or is there some program that is better? (I know the fix doesen't work all the time.) (TV only outputs NTSC) Or 'am I out of luck?

Or does FMCB 1.8 not need it?

Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Apply PAL2NTSC patch first, then ESR patch.

PAL2NTSC
Y-FIX OFFSET 40 (Most of the time)
MAKE PN SELECTOR- (Dont think you will need it)
