PS1 Games.. and Snes-station
PS1 Games.. and Snes-station –
Hi, I'm using the swap card method with the swap magic disc (CD 3.0 and DVD 2.0) ... it's working fine, but for playing ps1 games, it said I needed a gameshark (PS1 if I understand) .. so I bought one. So, I start up my ps2 with the gameshark, and start game without cheats... when it says to insert game CD, I use my swap card to open and close the CD tray... then press X to select "start game" on the gameshark
(my gameshark is version5 .. if it can helps anyone..)
but it doesn't seems to work; it freezes about 30 secondes... then it says it's not a valid disk =(
now about Snes station...
I made my CD using the method described in the PDF (on the website) file for the swap method, but when I try to boot the disk in my ps2, nothing works..... (I made a disk with the PS2 Reality Media Player.. or something like that... and it worked fine) if someone could explain his method to burn the cd with the swap method, it would be great!
thx for that answer...
any other suggestions? (not something stupid this time?)
Yon swappy trick isn't 100% reliable matey, and is veritable TORTURE on yer PS2. Some things just a won't work (like PS1 games) with the swappy card. If yer hurtin' fer money, try usin yon nero2 (the cheapest mod there is).
well.. ok... it's just that y'know.. I paid about 50$ (canadian) for the swap disk, and delivery... so... and I don't really know how to install a modchip and I don't have the tools to do it... I don't want to break my ps2.. y'know... (I haven't finished half of the RPG I do have... and they're not backup.. and I got some collector's edition that cost me about 120$ each..) and if I buy a modchip, I don't want something of low quality... I think DMS3 are pretty good... (but expensive)
PS : I'm still waiting any answers... maybe not about ps1.. but about Snes-Station
what gameshark did you try for the ps1 games. i use a gameshark lite, and it's worked every single time.
as for the snes station. it's hard to really say what you could be doing wrong. if you follow the instructions EXACTLY, then technically it should work. but if you do even 1 step wrong, then there's a good chance it won't
I have 2 gameshark...
PS2 Gameshark Version 4
PS1 Gamshark Version 5
about snes-sation, it's ok, I did the TOC refresh thing with SM3 CD .. and it worked fine.
what version do you have?
if iets v3-v7 why dont you just install a s-box they are exrteemly cheap 1 wire to solder and will work with your existing game shark
Ps theone wire is so easy to install my 13 year old sister can do it(only after i sowed her once)
I don't get one cuz I already wasted my money on that ugly swap thing
