My backup of Silent Hill 4 works fine, except the sound cuts out abouut halfway through cut-scenes. As you could imagine, this is very annoying because the cutscenes explain so much of the story. What gives?
    I burned it at 2x on a Fujifilm DVD-R using alcohol 120%

Thats how I got it to work too, I use WinHIIP to transfer the ISO to the PS2 HDD, and now it works fine. I started using my friends PS2 with the HD7 laser (dont know if this changes anything) but the sound muting during cutscenes went away. However, the game for some reason WOULD NOT LOAD no matter how many DVD's I burnt at the part when Henry enter's the hospital. SO using the HDD fixed this problem
