problems with NBA LIVE 2003 back-up

I have an NBA Live 2003 back-up. It used to run fine, but now it freezes a few minutes in a game. Has any body experienced anything like this on an NBA Live 2003 back-up?

what dvd media did you use?

dvd-r cheap stuff. but it played perfectly well before. could it have deteriorated already?

cheap dvd-r can be strange at times. backed up games using a range of cheap(er) media, sometimes they worked, more often than not they didn't.

stick with big boy named media such as TDK/Verbatim etc.

I personally use Traxdata dvd-r, 100% success rate.

where are you based - UK/US ?

yep I suspect the media as well. I was just curious if it could have been with the game itself.
