Problems burning...

Hello! I am new to theese forums but i thought id ask for help anyways.

I just bought a ps2 v9 with a dms3 chip and a nec 1300a dvd burner and a pack of princo dvd-r (yes i know after reading theese forums that they suck).....

Now for the issues i have a backup of final fantasy x and have tried to burn it in Recordnow max 4.5 i tried both 1x 2x and 4x speed problem is (i choose record veryfie and veryfie everyround as sugested in the faq here) and always there is problems at the end of the disc it burns but when veryfieing it it give some sorta error msg... so i sat down and thinked some more and have heard there were problems with the princo disc´s at the "outer rims" so i thought ok lets burn a game that is not as big. So i started to burn a backup of Pro evolution soccer 3 and it burned fine i put into my ps2 and it wont boot... now i have tried around 7 or eight discs 5 with ffx and 2-3 with pes3 so i thought wtf lets try nero i installed nero 6.0.0.2.3 and selected burn immage and burnt a copy of pes3 and put into my ps2 and "tada" worked like a charm. Now i tried to burn the immage of ffx but nero didnt recognize .gi file so i couldnt test that.

My questions are is there something on the princo disc that make em totaly suck. Is there problems with recordmax 4.5 and nec 1300a burner? is there anyway to convert a .gi file to a immage that nero accepts? or does anyone have any idea what can be wrong?

Ps i have tried different firmwares for the burner currently running with 1.08

The dye in the Princo DVD-R's tends do not work as well as some of the better, higher quality media there is out there.

also just copy exact disk copy and it would copy fine
