problems with backups on PS2

I currently backed up MK deception and GTA: San Andreas. MK goes all the way to the start screen and then freezes for about 2 minutes then I can pick something. GTA starts up and right away it starts skipping pretty bad. The music sounds garbled. I have a V4 ps2 with ***3 chip. Any ideas what it might be?

burn the DVD SUPERRRR DUPER SLOW lol

and ive noticed that version 4's dont play GTA SA very well... laser screaches on every V4 i tryed ... i recommend gettin a HD set up .. it will cost u almost the same as a new laser (if yours needs to be replaced)

Adjust white gear behind laser.

Try better media too. Use like verbatim or tdk and if ur using +r give -r a try b/c older machines tend to have trouble with +r. And burn at like 1x and just see what happens.

just remember that burning slower doesnt necessarily mean it will work better. in fact burning slower might result in more errors because of the dvd is being exposed to heat too long. burning at 2x-4x is the best bet.
