  1. #1 Problematic PS2

I have a PS2 that I bought with an online pack, i think its version 7 or 8 and it's modded with Magic 3.1. It takes me like 20 tries/restarts to play games. Some don't even play. I tried a number of different medias but almost none work or take a reallllly long time to start. So what im asking is, is it the media? Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to fix it and make it boot like on the 1st or 2nd try? It really starts to bug me after a while. Thanks.

what does that mean exactly? I do know i saw him use a screw on one part of the ps2. He kept turning the screw back and forth and restarting the ps2 everytime he turned it. Does that have anything to do with it? What should I do to fix it?

And is there anywhere I can bring it in BC? I've never opened a ps2 - only watched. Anything I can do? And how did u guys learnt o mod anyways? Any tutorials on how i can fix this shit?

    Hey,

Did it ever read dvd-r or stop recently?

If it suddenly stopped reading most media, Simply adjusting the cog wheel will probably do the trick. Look in the FAQ for details.

You will need a DMM if you want to put your laser pots back to factory setting, assuming they were even adjusted, but from your post, it sounds like they were.

Report back here if you fix it.
