Yeah I know what you mean. I was at a friend house for the weekend and I brought my PS2 with me. While I was there, I took advantage of his internet connection since I'm way over my bandwidth limit for this month on mine. So I download a couple of PS2 games. We were all excited about having the chance to try Auto Modellista before the US release so we downloaded it. I burned it with a copy of cdrwin downloaded on Kazaa for the sole purpose of burning the games while I wasn't at home. And the game wouldn't boot, so I tought it was the CD I used so I reburned it to another CD-R. Same result. I then remembered all the comments about Alcohol 120% and downloaded a copy before deleting the ISO. Well, the damn thing booted on the first try. The thing is that my cdrwin can burn everything correctly on my computer so it must definitly be some poorly cracked copy that are passed around on the net IMO. Needless to say that I will use Alcohol 120% next time I download a game from the net. And when I backup my game, I just use Clone CD since it work really well for 1:1 copy.
