Problem with MVSC2
Hi, I have about 1 week with my NEW V7 PS2 modded with Magic 3.1 (blue smilie version, face not cut at the top)
Tu put it simple: Marvel vs Capcom 2 wont boot up.
I am using the by_MIRACLE version.
I boot backup PSX games up and they boot fine.
I booted a friend´s DVD burned PS2 games and work fine.
I have MVSC2 burned on a CDR. I have used Verbatim, Maxell, Imation and TDK. On the TDK if i boot MVSC2 on PSX mode it shows the playstation screen followed by some screwed text and the SCEA words at the bottom and it locks up.
My question is: Does MVDC2 work con 700MB disks?
I have burned it with NERO, FIREBURNER and CDRWIN at 1x, 2x and 4x. Do I need to patch this game? Does Track-at-once or Disk at once matter?
I´m lost here, could anyone help me 4 GREAT GAMING JUSTICE please?
Have you tried booting that particular disk in your friend's machine to see if it works? I've discovered the hard way that Miracle releases aren't always the best quality and would tend to shy away from them.
Of course, then I bought a DVD-R burner and don't have that problem anymore... ;)
its a full CD-R games you shouldnt have any probs playing it. that the game i play most of the time, try burning with Alcohol 120% oh and its a ps2 game not a PS1
HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN:
My I say that this forum is filled with the most important PS2 information on all the web!!! Just before seeing the thread again I tried Alcohol 120% at 4X Customized for PS2 and CRUCIAL wrote with DAO RAW.
All PS1 and PS2 games I wrote AND wrote AND wrote and failed... now BOOT!!!!
Pity the MVSC2 is in JAP..., but I won´t ask for more.
Thanks Guys! Hope this helps anyone else....:D
By the way, I used Verbatim VALULIFE AND MAXELL CDRs.
Yeah I know what you mean. I was at a friend house for the weekend and I brought my PS2 with me. While I was there, I took advantage of his internet connection since I'm way over my bandwidth limit for this month on mine. So I download a couple of PS2 games. We were all excited about having the chance to try Auto Modellista before the US release so we downloaded it. I burned it with a copy of cdrwin downloaded on Kazaa for the sole purpose of burning the games while I wasn't at home. And the game wouldn't boot, so I tought it was the CD I used so I reburned it to another CD-R. Same result. I then remembered all the comments about Alcohol 120% and downloaded a copy before deleting the ISO. Well, the damn thing booted on the first try. The thing is that my cdrwin can burn everything correctly on my computer so it must definitly be some poorly cracked copy that are passed around on the net IMO. Needless to say that I will use Alcohol 120% next time I download a game from the net. And when I backup my game, I just use Clone CD since it work really well for 1:1 copy.
