Problem with dms3 and Game shark backup

Hi, i have the dms3 chip and a backup of gameshark. The gameshark boot well but the problem is when i enter the game codes, and boot the game. All games boot with no codes, and i dont understand what happens. I have an european ps2 but i think that this isnt the problem why i can boot gameshark.

You probably aren't saving it to the memory card, or make sure it says the cheat is selected....

I hadnt saved in the memory card. I hope that Game shark dont need dongle card and work with a normal memory card.
Ahhh, y have a pal console, can it be a problem???

What have i to save???
I simply select the codes and push star game.
This version dont ask you start with o wthout codes therefore i push start game and i put the cd and later push ok again, but the codes dont work.
Can anyone help me???
Do anyone know if game shark v2.3 work in a pal console or is this the problem???
