Problem Burning

Hi just wondering if anyone can help i got a bunch of games of the net now i am trying to burn them so i can load them on my hd with HDloader but once i put the burn game in to load with hdloader it says ti not a playstation 2 disc ? what do i do now or is ther a specific way to burn..

i tryied 2 games
splinter cell pandora tomorrow ( NTSC)
Ratchet and clank up your arsenal (NTSC)
media are some cheap media this might be the problem ? OEM dvd-r
speed brunt i tryied 8x then i tryied 1x
and my console is the 35001 v4 i think

can anyone help ??

would it work if i tranfer the game directly from my pc to the PS2 HD ?
