problem booting sonic collection plus black screen! help –
12-27-2004,10:24 AM
i have backed up many ps2 games without any problem until now. i used dvd decrypter to make and burn the backup and the ps2 will recognize it as a ps2 game and will boot (i think it boots), the analog light on the ps2 controller goes on, the screen turns black, and i hear the ps2 make some good familiar sounds like its booting the game, but the screen just stays black!
ps2 is a v9 chipped with *** 3. i am not looking for any help or suggestions for the modchip itself, just booting this game.
i burned the media at different speeds 1, 2, 2.4, 4, and 8, and used ritek g05 media which i hav had no problems with yet, and cheaper Teon brand media at 8x and other speeds.
anyone encounter this problem before? does this meen that the v9 ps2 has new protection and so does this game so it cant boot? do i need a bootdisk for this game? what could this meen? also when i put the disk in my pc i can see al the files inside of it and it looks like a good disk... any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
