Problem with 500A

I´ve bought this sony burner, though only record now recognizes it ( not even the programs that are made by the same company recognizes my burner, not even recordnow MAX!!). I use windows XP and have gotten all the latest patches for it

Does anyone know what can be done to fix this problem ?? Or has seen anything like this ??

Update your ASPI driver do a search for ASPI and XP using google if you have a problem!!!

go to www.adaptec.com and d/l the newest aspi drivers for winxp

RecordNow Max 4.5 Support your drive. Get that, I don't think changing the ASPI layer is going to help in this case.

Trust me: download RecordNow max 4.5 (and reg. patch from astalavista)... It works really good with my DRU 500A (fw 1.0f) both writin' from image and direct copy. Have fun !

Finally one is working ..

Recordnow max 4.5 recognized my burner ..
But primoDVD and Nero didnt recognize it ..

Does anyone have any idea ??

PrimoDVD doesn't support the DVD burner and never will. RecordNow is meant to replace it, and can burn everything that Primo burns.

Nero also needs to be updated to a version that supports your drive. I don't know which one will work, but I assume they have a release (or the next one) that will support your drive.
