Prob with back up need help plz

Ok i back up spongebob squarepants revenge of the flying dutchman succesuffly(CD Based) to a cd-r boots up fine and everything and when i go to play it after hitting start at the title screen it says the dualshock 2 is unplugged and to reconnect it when its not unplugged!Maybe its cuz of the copyright or somethin?!?!Help would be apricated.Thanks!

Arrrrrrrr, I hads that problem once. The controller had a short in yon cable. I gots a new controller and never saw the error again, so I didn't. Both me wee ones have beat the game ye speak of. Me backup sailed all the way through, so it did. If'n a new controller don't work...ye may have a bad game port there matey.
