PrimoDvd burn problems

I successfully burned Kingdom Hearts and Robotech Battlecry....but.. I recently tried to burn a dvd movie and the game the Thing and I get an error:

Disk copy terminated with errors.
The type of job is incompatible with the type of disc.

What should I do?

Also I copied Final Fantasy X and it tries to load but takes forever between screens and after it asks me to select new game or load...it goes to the black transition screen..and doesn't come back..any ideas?

DVD movies are typically DVD-9 format -- that is a factory pressed dual-layered disc that holds 9.4GB of data. You can't stuff 10 pounds of shit into a 5 pound bag (4.7GB DVD-R) and present commenrcial DVD burners can't handle burning DVD-9 media, even if it was available.

As for your FFX disc, either cheap media or you burned it at 1x. Try again with a name brand TDK, Verbatim, Pioneer, Imation, or Apple disc at 2x as many PS2s lasers seem to have a problem with 1x backups.

Yes, Like Balto Says Burn at 2X and i would suggest Record Now Max 4.11, I Had Problems with Primo DVD even thought its really the same prog!!!

yes the thing is cd game.........just copy it fully on cr-r

Just to clarify -- Robotech may be in Compact Disc format and backed up onto CD-R, but Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X are both DVD format and require a DVD-R.

I think the reason for final fantasy x not loading properly is the that i used imation dvd-r rather than higher end media like TDK or Verbatim...

Still looking for a reasonably priced place to shop for them.

I used noname dvd-r for medal of honor.but it doesn't work on 30004-r pal console(messiah).the game stopping after first demo.
I think the problem is media or program(primo dvd).who can help me???(my burner is pioneer dvr-104)

If you burned the disc with PrimoDVD, then that's working, right? So, what's that leave in this equation?

Your cheap no-name media perhaps? (which has been mentioned over and over if you bothered to browse through the threads just in this forum.)

Go buy a TDK, Verbatim, Pioneer, or Apple blank and burn it at 2x.

Then go enjoy your game...

I've been trying to burn Ty The Tasmanian Tiger with Primo. Every time I do a global extraction, it gives me 4 ty.gi files (the others have numbers in parenthesis) When I try to burn the image it gives an error message & shuts down the program. Anyone else having this problem on any games?
