Primo and NBALive2003.... –
Trying to use Primo to backup NBA live 03. I am following Charlies guide on Primo. I create a Global Image named 'nbalive03.gi'. After it reads successfully i exit and get ready to burn that to dvd-r. When i find the filename, i find 3 different files : nbalive03(11).gi, nbalive03(12).gi, and nbalive03.gi. The first 2 are 2 gigs each and the third is about 120kb. I have deleted those 3 and did another global image and got the same result. I dont understand. I am following the guide. any help appreciated. thanks Can i just do a 'disc copy' instead?
You just need to burn the image .gi without the numbers. The other ones will be patched in the burn process provided that you don't split up the files in which these files are stored in..
The Px Engine update creates "split" GI files in 1.99GB parts so that even Win95 users with FAT16 and a 2GB file size limitation can create a GI image to their hard drive.
Use the little .gi file as it acts sort of like a Cue sheet to point to the other files.
Charlie needs to update his tutorial some day to explain that...
