pressed vs DVD-r
Can anyone tell me what is the difference between pressed silver DVD and a normal DVD-r and which one is better on PS2 laser?? I know that charlieps2 said pressed dvds have better reflection rate and stuff but is there anything else that i need to know? Thanks for any info.

Presed are the best but cost more than a cd. Also they can hold 9gigs. Burned dvds are just burnt the presed are like origanals but the factorys that they are made in unstarel condisions. I have found a baby roch presed in a CD psx game once.

As far a the roach thing I doubt seriously that is a common occurance.
Yes pressed DVD are closer to the original but are also less compatible than DVD-R. For instance a magic 3 won't play a pressed DVD. Also the info on reflection you have is backwards. Pressed DVDs have a lower reflection so the laser can see through to the second layer. This is why some older PS2 units have trouble reading them. Such as V4s and below.
So I guess to sum it up would be that there are pros and cons to both the pressed silver's or the regular old DVD-R.
