Plz HELP?? on Cdrwin and Alcohol 120

ok in alcohol 120 and in cdrwin
i can never convert it to .bin or .iso or .cue ext.
because my cd readers(2) never picks up anything when i insert the ps2 disc So i cant start(the start button is ghosted) the conversion
does any1 no my problem and can tell me how to fix it

it says device has no disc or is not ready

i d/l it and installed it
i used the driver checker and it said "no drivers installed or installed unpropely"
so i installed them
and it still dont work

now the aspi driver checker says
fullly installed and working
but my cdrom still cant read/load the Ps2 disc (tracks/sectors)
so i cant burn it

this sucks
the full error message on cdrwin says"
"'load disc' command failed on device 1:0:0
device contains no disc or is not ready (04h 00h 02h 02h 3ah 00h)

if this is the answer im a dumbass
ok the Ps2 games are the original (DVD-rom) could it be that
i cant read them/they wont load because im using a cd-rom
if it is plz tell me
or if theirs a way around it

see im trying to rip them to my harddrive in an image file(.bin .cue or .iso)
using a cdrom cuz i dont have a dvd
and then i was going to burn them with my cdrw
