play AVi DVD-/+Rs in CD version of Mediaplayer
Hey everybody....I stumbled upon this little trick not too long ago...
How to do it:
Boot Mediaplayer like normal, then at the main menu, (play, browser, etc) insert a high-TOC authentic PS2 DVD game (Tekken, LotR: Return of the King, Devil May Cry demo DVD, etc etc etc), and give it 10-15 seconds...now, select browser. After it brings up the contents of the DVD, cogswap out with the DVD-/+R containing the *.avi files (note - I burn all of my avi DVDs with Nero, so I don't know if it'll read DVDs burned by other programs...). Now, hit refresh, and viola! You're playing your DVD movies...to my knowledge, it works with every version, including 1.50 (don't hold me to that).

What is the maximum siez you burn on your DVD ?, may be it works for you because you burn 4 Gb max, I burn a DVD-R with 4.5 Gb and I dont succed in reading it with my V9 PS2.
