No you shouldnt need to patch any games at all. Are you having trouble booting a game?
no, thats all i needed to know. thx a lot!!
For CD-R rips, yes.
For DVD-R backups, no.
so i do need to patch my cd-r back-ups with a magic3
Nope. I've patched none of my cdr rips and all work perfectly.
Only issue with Magic 3 is Kingdom hearts, GTA Vice City, maybe a few other DVD games, maybe resetting game more than once to play, and occasional freeze when using cheat codes. I say "only" but these issues are really a problem .

Also the fact that when in a PAL PS2 the PS1 import games run @ 50 Hz
But other than that magic3 is a good chip
No, you dont have to patch anything. I have Live 2003 on CD (I'm thinking about getting a DVD-R of it now..) and no patch. Just burnt it and away I went. BigGanja, just convert the PAL games to NTSC. Moe, there's an actual rip for Vice City? What's missing...all the sound and then some? Because I have Vice City backup on DVD and it runs fine. It's phrozen on my Dad's PS2, but so did the original. Go figure.
No patch needed

Rlee its fine M8, I got Messiah2 i was just advising that the PS1 side of things gets forced to 50Hz M8 !! Thats all
