PAL Onimusha 3 issues

I have a V12 PStwo with Matrix Infinity 1.38 and have been trying to backup Onimusha 3: Demon Seige for the last few days. I've tried both Shintaro and TDK media and Nero and DVD Decrypter. With all these backups it simply won't load. It will get past the 'PlayStation2" splash screen, but then hangs. On the rare occasion the Shintaro copy loads a bit further but takes VERY VERY long and then the sound is all choppy and as soon as I go to the next area in the game it crashes while loading it. Other gomes I've backed up work fine on various media... Anyone know what's going on here..??

lol, don't everyone rush to answer at once!... Doesn't matter anymore. It seems that my Lite-On DVD-burner is on the way out. I tried a newer burner and everything wokred perfectly.
